A pretty exciting development from Guild is the launch of their new Custom Shop. Many electric guitar manufacturers have a Custom Shop where people can order a guitar just as they want it and the same should apply to acoustics as well.
Guild has been busy lately announcing new models which they showed off at the 2013 NAMM show.
The first was the AD-5CE which is a dreadnought that features their commonly used arched-back body design and a solid Sitka spurce top. Laminated rosewood sides and a slim satin-finish mahogany neck help set the guitar apart. The cutaway makes it easy to play into the upper frets (though many acoustic guitar players tend not to do so). Onboard Fishman pickups and preamp system with on-board tuner and anti-feedback control. One of the guitars I own use a similar Fishman preamp which is good and seems to do a good job with the feedback but leaves a bit to be desired for the range of control on the EQ.
