FENDER AMPLIFIERS RELEASE ’57 BANDMASTER, MUSTANG (V.2) MODELS & ACOUSTASONIC 15

Fender definitely has their focus split between the legacy tone of the '50s and '60s and coming up with amps with more modern features. Back in the '50s their was a tweed-covered Fender Bandmaster guitar amplifier that you would see many artists using. Fender has just announced they have created a replica of this amp called the '57 Bandmaster. By re-creating a classic 5E7 circuit, which pumps about 26 watts through three 10" alnico-magnet speakers.

The more modern Mustang Series is back with a whole bunch of bells and whistles including effects, intelligent pitch shifting and USB connectivity. They each feature 18 amp models to choose from, so whether you are looking for that Buddy Holly sound, or a British rock sound you can probably find something close. They don't have the ability to model amps, such as the Kemper Profiling Amp, but the price is also much more affordable. Here's a video on the new version of the Mustang amps.

For those who are making the open mic rounds they have the Acoustasonic 15 which also allows for a vocal microphone. 15-watts and one 6" speaker. It comes with channel XLR/1"4 input and a chorus/bass/middle/treble/level control.
